We celebrate St Brigid's day on the 1st of February. It is the first day of Spring. St Brigid is the Female Patron of Ireland.
In Mr Owens' 2nd class we celebrated St Brigid's day by making St Brigid's crosses; just as St Brigid did herself in order to teach people about Christianity.
While we found them tricky at the beginning to make them, we soon got into gear and made some wonderful crosses!
