The Night I Met Santa.

The Night I Met Santa.

It was a dark windy night. I put up stocking with my family. Then I dashed to the kichen to get some milk, cookies and one carrot for Santa 's reindeers. Lazily the family went to bed. But I was full of energy so I jumped into bed.I was very cosy. Feeling snoozey I fell off to sleep. Suddenly something woke me up. I thought I head jingling of bells on the roof. I dashed out of my bed and went down the stairs to see if it was Santa. When I went into the living room I was astonished with what I saw black boots, red suit, a fluffy beard and a black belt. I was amazed. Then Santa realised I was ther and said,"Come here and join me", he had a very sweet voice. I was a little bit shy at first but we had a nice long chat and drank some milk. As it was getting late, he told me in his soft sweet voice "Can you please go to bed?" so i tiptoed up the stairs and went to bed. The next morning I rushed downstairs and told my Mum and dad all about the previous nights adventure but they would not believe me but we all the whole story, don't we!!!!!!!!!

Acrostic Poems

Following the Winter scenes across Ireland in the past couple of weeks Miss Horgan's class decided to compose some acrostic poems in relation to the word WINTER!!!!!

Winter

Winter is here, lets have fun.

In the snow we shout and run.

Nothing but snow on the ground.

Ten snowmen built and done.

Everybody is having fun,

Ready to make another one.

By Emily Gough.

` Winter

Weather is bad, I see it too and I'm afraid I might get the flu.

Inside is warm bot outside is cool and really I should put up my hood.

Now I see the sleet and i should cover my face.

Today is sunny but it was very funny.

Everyday I want to play but it's tough luck when the snow goes away.

Running around running all day i hope the snow will stay today.

Mark O'Connell Reaches the North Pole

Day 1

I started my mission to the North Pole. I must wear very warm clothes because it is freezing cold in the North Pole. It is an amazing adventure which I won’t forget. I have struggled for an hour to get there but it seems like forever.

Day 2

As I set off again today I am quite frightened. It is very hard to see in front of me because of the thick snow that is falling. Along the way I met another explorer who was a cheerful person. He told funny stories. Suddenly he fell and injured his leg. However, he made a miraculous recovery and was able to continue his journey.

Day 3

I am over half way there and getting closer to my destination. My family are on my mind a lot and I am feeling very homesick but I really want to keep going to reach the North Pole. I am nearly there

Day 4

Today is the day that I reached the North Pole. It has been a memorable adventure/ it has also been an excellent experience for me. This I s a very historic occasion as I am the youngest Irish person ever to reach the North Pole

King Quackers the Third by Tadhg Kennelly

This is the winning 'Crazy Story' in Mr McDonnell's class for November. Fabulous work Tadhg...

King Quackers the Third by Tadgh Kennelly
One day King Quackers the Third was riding his zebra over the desert on the planet Wumjamo. Suddenly a flying banana came flying out of nowhere and kicked Quackers off his Zebra.
"Oh drat" he said "That yellow thingy kicked me off Mr. Zedy"
A policeman came over to them and said "I'm gonna put you in jail!!"
"Why?" said the banana.
A few seconds later Quackers was in a jail cell with the flying banana. They were playing noughts and crosses.
"I win again" said the flying banana.
"OOOOOOooooooooh" shouted Quackers "Why can't I win for once???"
"Ok" said the banana.

6 hours later they were both asleep.
"Snnnnnoooore, breeeeathe, snooore, breeeeathe" cried Quackers in his sleep.
"Yawn" said the flying banana sleepily.
Just then the policeman came around the corner. He took out his shotgun and shot the flying banana!!!
At the same time Quackers woke up and looked at the (dead) flying banana and then looked at the policeman and then barely dodged a bullet the policeman fired at him. He kept dodging the bullets, but he got shot up into his beak...
Is this the end for our faithful friend???
Find out on the next line.
While Quackers was lying on the ground the policeman opened the cell -door to bring the dead dudes into his office. Quackers opened his beak and coughed out the bullet and it went straight into the stomach of the policeman.
"Yes" he shouted "I'm free.!! I feel sorry for that flying yellow thingy."
Quackers ran out the door of the police-station.
"Woohoo" he cried "I'm free!!"

THE END.
